Lincoln East "Primary"/Debate/Mock Vote: Lincoln East NHS is planning for a mock primary/debate/vote!  Towards the end of the year, there will be different students representing the front runners of the presedential election 2008 who will present highlights, main arguments, and views in an UNBIAS presentation.  Students will have a chance to come watch and cast their vote at the end of the session.  East's winning candidate will be announced the next day.  There may also be a chance for elligible students to register to vote if they have not already.  This project is very early in progress and needs as much as possible!  This may be your chance to get involved in the exciting election of 2008!  If you know anyone interesting in representing a presedential candidate, please let an officer know!

NHS Tutoring: NHS has a committee working each week to get students in need of tutoring some extra help!  These students sign up in their classes every Monday, and come to the cafeteria during PLC time on Tuesdays.  The NHS committee will contact you the Monday before if they need help, but don't always know who is available!  Please send contact information to eastnhs@gmail.com if you are interested in tutoring and haven't been contacted yet.  The subjects needed for tutoring vary each week.

Pershing Elementary School needs YOU!  There is an NHS committee working on several projects throughout the year to help Pershing Elementary raise money for a new sound system.   Thank you to all who helped out at the 3v3 bball tournament -- we were able to raise over $200!  They are now looking to plan their next event so if you have any ideas, please get in touch!

Friendship Home: The Friendship Home of Lincoln recently announced the success of raising over $70,000 during the safe quarters walk!  Although this is a huge accomplishment, NHS members are always looking for more ways to help out!  If you have any ideas at all, please contact eastnhs@gmail.com and your ideas WILL be heard!  You may also become a part of this commmittee, in which more information will be sent back to you.

TSHIRTS!  NHS members have created tshirt designs and will be available soon in the counselor's office.  Look for the notice on the bulletin board when they become available to order.
